Grand Forks Airport is a few miles northwest of the North Dakota town of Grand Forks and is the best way in as it is relatively remote. Various airlines serve the airport from the likes of Minneapolis, Las Vegas, and Winnipeg. The latter is a couple of hours north with car rentals in Grand Forks Airport.

There is a new terminal being built at the airport to replace the old one, which has a restaurant and coffee shop, wireless internet and budget car rental in Grand Forks Airport. The airport also comes with short-term parking and is easy to navigate.

Getting to the airport is by way of taxi or bus, while for the arrivals with car rental in Grand Forks Airport simply head east along US-2 to downtown. The downtown area is about six miles along this route and is also close to Interstate 29.

The town is in North Dakota's Northern Red River Valley region and is best explored by car as it is fairly spread out.
