Car rental location Flint Airport

Location information for Flint Airport

Flint Airport, otherwise known as Bishop International Airport, is just southwest of the central Michigan town of Flint. It is one of the state's busiest airports and comes with a great range of car rentals in Flint Airport.

The airport handles around a million flyers annually and is served by five major carriers: American Airlines, AirTran, Continental, Delta, and Midwest. Flights come in from destinations throughout the region, as well as from farther afield, including from Chicago.

Flint Airport is modern and efficient, with Departures on the second floor and Arrivals downstairs, where the car rentals in Flint Airport are. Check-in is straightforward and there are ATMs, left luggage, a post office, shops and eateries at the airport.

Interstates I-69 and I-75 run right by the airport, with the I-69 heading straight for downtown. US 23 also goes south breaking forking off from the I-75. Public buses serve the airport from downtown for those already in town. Most major budget car rental in Flint Airport firms are represented here.

The town used to be the headquarters of Buick and is a bit of an industrial eyesore in places. There are pleasant spots, however, and several worthwhile attractions. The town's affinity with the motorcar is best seen at the Motor Cities National Heritage Area, while the Crossroads Village is also a must-see.

Lake Huron is due east at the town of Sarnia with car rental in Flint Airport, or you could head due north for Bay City. Saginaw is also around this area.
