What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

Are there any additional costs?

Our rates are all-inclusive. Our reservation department will inform you in advance should additional costs apply. You can always cancel your booking free of charge if you do not agree (this must be done at least 48 hours prior to the start of the car hire period).

What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.

It would be better if

It would be better if the "level" of car matched the categories used by Alamo (or whichever rental car company is selected). I have noticed a pattern that I select a "luxury" vehicle on hirecars.co.uk and when I arrive to pick up the car the category does not match what I'm expecting. Usually I try to reserve the highest-end car I can on the website, but when I arrive the rental car company informs me that the category I reserved is not the highest end they have (it's usually a full 1-2 levels below real "luxury").

Terrible. I booked about 6 times. E Rey time my credit card failed. It must have been a problem with the website on a Saturday morning. I almost gave up but tried after several hours. Experience was good. O was hesitant to rent from dollar but it was fine.

The overall service was okay

The overall service was okay however receiving emails stating I was late were Incorrect and needs to be rectified in your software it was kind of annoying having them to call the 800 number to clarify the situation.
