We have used 121 carhire

We have used 121 carhire for many cars over approx 15 years and the website is easy to use booking the car and for the type and price of cars. However trying to deal with your agents over the phone to change or cancel a booking is 'not' a pleasant experience. It was frustrating speaking with your unfriendly agents who did not try and find a workable solution for the changes we needed to make to our booking due to flight changes. It was easier to just cancel the booking with 121 car hire and book directly with the car company who were wonderful in assisting and making the booking. Your agents over the phone are very autocratic and direct ( borderline being rude ) 121 car hire would benefit in creating a more friendly and helpful service to clients when dealing with your agents over the phone.

The capital of the island of Naxos is Naxos City, which is also referred to as Hora by the locals. The city makes a good starting point for trips around the island especially if you have car hire in Naxos Downtown. The city is nestled on the island's west side just facing the Aegean Sea.

The city occupies a 49-square mile area and it is home to the main tourist hubs in the island. Plenty of beaches and coastal communities also extend from Naxos along the coast and the road offers a pleasant driving experience with stunning views overlooking the sea.

Downtown Naxos is accessible in about a seven-minute drive from the Naxos Airport. Alternatively, you can arrive by ferry from the Greek mainland or via a high-speed catamaran service from Lavrio, Rafina, and Piraeus. Walking may be the best way to get around in the downtown area but if you want to access other places, having a car is a must.

Cheap car hire in Naxos Downtown allows you to save money during your trip especially if you are planning to do a lot of sightseeing around the island. Naxos itself is rich in ancient ruins and archaeological sites which are worth visiting for a day trip from the city. See the Temple of Dimitra in Sangri or head to the Kouros of Melanes and Apollonas.

Plenty of beautiful beaches are scattered around the island so it makes sense to secure car rental in Naxos Downtown if you want to see all of them. Beaches like Agios Prokopios, Mikri Vigla, Agia Anna, Agios Georgios, and Plaka can easily be accessed when coming from Naxos Downtown.

 What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

Our rates are all-inclusive. Our reservation department will inform you in advance should additional costs apply. You can always cancel your booking free of charge if you do not agree (this must be done at least 48 hours prior to the start of the car hire period).

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.

You can cancel your reservation through "My Account". We recommend contacting us by phone if your changes to your booking or cancellation takes place at short notice (48 hours or less).
