Excellent value for money with a good choice of...

Excellent value for money with a good choice of vehicles and providers made available to me. The Thrifty representative who I dealt with at Edinburgh was very helpful and friendly. The only slight downfall was that I had a bit of a wait to be served as there was only one Thrifty representative on duty at the desk and he was dealing with a customer when I arrived. I wasn't in a hurry though, so i didn't mind.

lovely staff and great car

we recently hired a car through Green Motion from Edinburgh airport and the experience couldn't have been better. It was very good value, an immaculate and lovely car and charming, efficient service at collection and drop-off.

Low price - top service

We were met at the airport by a rep who was waiting with our hire car and we simply had to return it to the Long Stay car park at the end of the hire, dropping the key into the box in the airport building - Easy. The car was the make and model we had booked (ie no substitute), low mileage and no more than 6 months old. Price? Lowest that the price comparison site came up with but a large margin. Charges were all as per the website and confirmation emails.

Hassle free experience!

I hired the car from 121 carhire.com through internet booking, and collected the car at Edinburgh airport. The entire proces was very smooth, the car keys were given to me without the need to show too much details. The condition of the car (Volvo 7 seater) is as good as new. I would recommend 121 carhire to anybody. The only unpleasant experience was the full fuel return policy, it was partly a mistake on my own. I thought that I could filled up the fuel at the airport, only to discover that the fuel station at the airport is not opened to the public (it is only opened to the car hire companies)! As I returned the car with half tank empty, i was forced to pay a higher price of 2.34GBP/litre as a "penalty" for not returning the car with full tank... as a result, I paid about 90GBP for that half tank of fuel. Normal rate is about 1.34GBP/Litre. Perhaps the staff at the Carhire Centre could caution us about the fuel station at the airport beforehand, that it is not available for public use.

great value car hire

I booked the car rental online and found the website very clear and easy to understand. The prices were also very cheap compared with other sites! On arrival at the airport I was met by the car hire rep and all the paperwork was ready. Very quick and easy to process everything. There were no hidden extras and everything was clearly explained. The car was waiting and was very clean. Drop off at the end of the rental was very straight-forward and easy. Basically I couldn't find any fault with the whole process from choosing and booking online to collection and drop off. Very happy with the whole process.

worked out well

I ended up with a nice economical manual shift car at a good price. I found the insurance confusing as it is somewhat different than rentals in the States but bought the extra and had no issues. The website was relatively easy to use and gave me lots of choices.

Sixt Car Hire

Good service and easy pick up/ drop off. Customer service good. Car condition on outside of boot was poor ( sticky white substance all over back) did not look very attractive!

Fair price, easy to collect and return, good car

We have collect the car from GreenMotion hollidayInn Heathrow, it was easy and fast, the price was the lowest among all rentals, the car was in perfect condition, and the drop-of prosses took no longer than 5 minutes. highly recomended service and rental.

Best Car Hire

Got upgraded to really great car with good price offer. Surprised to find car had sat nav, reversing camera and parking sensors together with cruise control. Diesel fuel just made the experience a joyful one. Service was excellent with friendly staff.

Very good service

We were dealt with quickly and respectfully both on pick up and return of the vehicle. Downside is the 30 min wait for the shuttle bus if you just miss one.

Good prices originaly drew me in but the customer service from the car rental company was superb. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of there way to help. Collection and returns were excellent.

Very friendly staff. Picked up promptly from the airport and car hire only a couple of minutes from the airport. Website stated car fuel was 1/4 full and return 1/4 full. But this did not happen. I was told by easirent that I had to pay for 1/4 tank (they charged £20) and return empty. However the tank was not quite 1/4 full.
