Best Car Hire

Got upgraded to really great car with good price offer. Surprised to find car had sat nav, reversing camera and parking sensors together with cruise control. Diesel fuel just made the experience a joyful one. Service was excellent with friendly staff.

A great deal all round!

We had a very smooth and efficient pickup. The price was excellent as was the vehicle. I also bought the online insurance as it was better value than buying at the counter - the only downside being that the insurance (in the event of a claim) would have had to be claimed back after payment had been settled up front.

Great & Easy Car Rental Service

Very easy to use car service that got us a great car with a great car rental company at the best possible price. The only downfall was that Right Cars, the rental company, did not have a booth at the airport and we had to wait for someone to come from their office. The wait, however, was not too long. I would definately use this service again and recommend to a friend!

We were happy to rent this Ford Mondeo car. It was better than expected, more spacy, and easy to drive, even in the "wrong side" of the roads (left).

Hired cars before and we have had to phone supplier, await pick up, often adding an hour or more to our journey. 121 directed to a hire company at the airport, pick up (and drop off) was simple, and quick. We were on our way in a few mins! Nice roomy car for the price too. Although we have had an additional driver on the insurance free of charge with other companies.

Simple, straight forward and inexpensive

The title says it all. We arrived at Gatwick 2 hours late and our car was only steps away ready to go. I was processed at the counter in less than a minute and found out that our car had been rented to someone else as we were late, so we received a very nice upgrade to a Volvo D5 diesel, XC60. What a pleasure that car was to drive. The process was the same upon delivery of the car. I dropped off the key and there were no issues. Make sure you bring the car back with an empty tank of fuel as on-line rentals are required to do so. Overall, a simple, straight forward and inexpensive rental.

Easy Does It

A great car provided by Green Motion. A Diesel Peugot gave great gas mileage with low emissions but plenty of power when required. It had adequate luggage space in the trunk & was very comfortable. Dealer service was prompt & courteous at delivery & return.

Great rental service all round!!

121 car hire was probably the easiest car rental company my partner and i have used. we searched the internet for the best deal and they offered just that. we then got all the information emailed to us pretty much straight away . we arrived at London Gatwick and gave them a call as they offered a pick up service, they came within 15 mins of calling them and took us straight to the office where we filled out the forms made final payment and as shown to your car. the whole thing took less than 20 minutes which was just amazing. they did not try and sell us anything else we wanted as most companies we have rented from are rather pushy but these guys offered us other products we said no and that was that. GREAT!! we then got shown around our car for any pre-damage and then drove off. Drop off was just as easy, we took it to the drop off place and we where offered a lift back to where ever we needed to be. We have been renting cars for over 7 years now and have never been offered such great service from a company before, we will defiantly be going back to 121 car hire as they where perfect and offered everything we needed, the price was great the staff where amazing. customer service was 110%

Plus: All those years that I wasted my money reserving cars direct and now I get a good deal, easily organised, good cars and the kind of service that one should always expect.` Minus: You don't know who you are booked with until it's done and dusted. As a native Brit leaving Gatwick Airport to find the rental office at the Holiday Inn was not exactly easy but for someone else it could have been tricky.

I was very happy with the actual site for booking and also the phone contact was very pleasant to discuss what i was required to bring concerning the driving requirements, the vehicle supplied was not exactly to my liking however it did suit our needs on this trip.The one thing i was not informed about was the no smoking policy in or around the vehicle and the extra charges due to this issue.the actual company was very pleasant to deal with upon pickup but upon drop off the shock of the valet service for smoking around the vehicle and in the vehicle was unpleasant

121 Great Value and easy to use

Overall the site was very easy to use and the price was great, the cheapest I could find online for a small car from London Gatwick. Instructions were all very clear on the welcome email and web site so it's easy to use for those who are not so familiar with internet bookings. Only one minor problem, be careful at the very end of the booking - this was my fault and not 121s, but there is a check box before the 'complete my booking without excess insurance' button, I clicked the checkbox thinking it was an agreement to the terms box without realising it was an add insurance checkbox - I was too quick for my own good, but I certainly won't be the only one to do this, it ended up being a pain to get that refunded from the third party insurance, it was however refunded eventually.

 What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

Our rates are all-inclusive. Our reservation department will inform you in advance should additional costs apply. You can always cancel your booking free of charge if you do not agree (this must be done at least 48 hours prior to the start of the car hire period).
